Italy. Prime Minister Berlusconi was the magazine “Rolling Stone” named “Rock Star of the Year 2009″. Known for his numerous amorous affairs with often much younger stars and stars and his luxurious lifestyle of the Italian head of government is always good for a surprise. Soon will his wife in the divorce of unpacking it, you may be in for a mud fight.

What do you think? Might be possible in Austria?

Based on the Mayan calendar, which predicts the end of the world in 2012, was this movie that already has in the header action-packed scenes, great computer animation and promised a lot of tension. On the whole, these promises were kept. Apart from the “little things” in a rather unrealistic situations such as a fully loaded truck (of course with the good guys), which are in the middle by a so to speak, break and shifting city driving, all around everything falls in ruins, but our good many healing (not all good to survive in this film which, it should briefly noted).
Or for example also a plane, go down beside the glowing lava fireballs. Normally would be sucked through the turbines the fire - the plane would not survive it intact. If one of these and other technical fairy tale a bit of time, you can “2012″ quite enjoy than what it should be: a science fiction movie, in which the heroes (and children) to the end mitzittert. Who also liked: the quirky doomsday radio pioneer Charlie Frost (portrayed by Woody Harrelson), the holding nearly all crazy. The Russian oligarch Yuri Karpov (Zlatko Buric), a former boxer who worked his way up from the bottom and to own and the rescue of his twin boys (which came over as he is not 100% sympathetic) a lot of money spent and not otherwise much for his fellow men had left - he is the impressive way, both the good and the evil that exists in a man.
Both roles were well cast and authentic. The main character of the so far unsuccessful writer Curtis Jackson (John Cusack) worked in this role, surprisingly, more or less colorless. For this was the main character, his ex-wife Kate (played by Amanda Peet) the more rouge and lipstick on his face - and consistently - which still looks a little disturbing, also has it been to no permanent make up (actresses can also otherwise glistening).
The other “mix” - a family that holds together despite everything, still, little and big hero. A woman who undergoes an older man for the sake of a disfiguring plastic surgery and no thanks for harvests, etc., etc. A cute dog. In short, pure Hollywood - this is one with everything. Including pathetic conclusion. For lovers of Science Fiction recommended.
Anxious for those who fear the end of the world, do not! ;-)

In opulent imagery is the story of Joan, who allegedly was the first (and last?) Woman in the history of the Church in the 9th century to the “Pope” (yes it was really Pope Joan) was chosen, says. Your name was removed according to tradition and stories from all the annals of the Roman Catholic Church and the Vatican and still yawns as it were in this past century, a hole in the history of the order of the popes. These highly intelligent woman had it in a very hostile environment woman already a little girl, very hard. A despotic, religion-obsessed, not to say crazy father tyrannized the entire family, especially Johanna and her mother.
Her brothers were indeed preferred by the father, but even these had the will of the head of the family subordinate unconditionally. For their sake he was even able to fraud and other things in life to bring them into positions where they were no match (which the father refused to believe not, though). Interesting also the scene when Joan’s father in old age again strikes it. It seems then give it to something like justice. Many film scenes are oppressive and bloodthirsty - especially when it comes to the oppression of women to robbers in those days (also already be part of the body being sacrificed to gain possession of a piece of jewelry) to the poor housing conditions and comes to brutal fight scenes.
The intrigues within the church, a very likable (albeit very stout) Pope, who was represented by John Goodman excellent, unsympathetic adversary, which one sees from afar that they do evil design, etc. to give an impression of the prevailing conditions and power struggles. The actress who plays Joan works in some scenes as arrogant, but may have to do with the “smart display” an exceptionally gifted person.
Johanna’s decisions are not always apparent that like, but with their training and what was then but apparently have to do after widespread extreme religious fanaticism. The ending is a total a bit too cheesy - but not everything is revealed here.
Finally, we think of it only: a good thing we live in a different time! Especially for the women but has much changed for the better. Many of the topics presented, however, are timeless, and could well have occurred in modern times under slightly different conditions. What’s more like: the chosen language. It is this value placed on a fine language.

“Pope Joan” is certainly a movie absolutely worth seeing, even or especially because it polarized in many ways.
